Wastewater Operator

Position Summary:
Perform duties necessary to maintain compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory requirements regarding incoming plant water, wastewater and NPDES storm water.

Minimum Qualifications:

MUST HAVE: valid Class 1 Wastewater License in state of Delaware or upon approval by State office

*High School Diploma or GED
*Ability to attain knowledge of water, wastewater and NPDES storm water operations. Obtain wastewater license before completion of 1 year of service in this position.
*Requires moderate physical exertion.

Duties & Responsibilities:
*Monitor water, wastewater and storm water systems and perform corrective action as needed.
*Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment.
*Reports any equipment malfunctions to the Lead Wastewater Operator
*Perform test on water, wastewater and storm water in accordance with proper procedures.
*Monitor and record flow meter readings and calculate daily flows.
*Follow proper procedures in obtaining all types of water samples.
*Maintain equipment used to perform testing and obtaining water samples.
*Perform sampling on monitoring wells, house water, wastewater, and storm water.
*Adheres to all common safety policies and procedures, including the wearing of protective clothing and equipment as required.
*Responsible for following all Company and Government policies and procedures.
*Perform other duties as assigned by Management and or Lead Wastewater Operator.
